Unlike traditional social platforms that restrict monetized Creator Funds in Africa or delay local payouts, Circl gives independent creators across Kenya the tools to monetize short videos directly. Turn your community into recurring income through Subscriptions and Tips.

Monetization tools are unlocked as soon as your Creator application is approved. An official Creator badge then appears on your profile.

2. Eligibility Requirements

To join the Circl Creator Program in Kenya, applicants must:

• Maintain an authentic profile complying with Circl's Terms of Use and Community Guidelines;
• Reach the minimum follower threshold required to apply, visible within your app's profile settings;
• Submit a Creator verification application directly through the app;
• Demonstrate a clean account status with no history of spam, guidelines violations, or copyright sanctions.

3. Monetization Channels

3.1 — Fan Subscriptions

Offer your supporters exclusive subscriber-only content. Subscriptions are priced for the Kenyan market. Fans pay through the App Store, in their own local currency, at checkout:

Exact prices in the fan's local currency are displayed in-app at checkout. Your earnings are always paid to you in Kenyan shillings (KES).

Circl operates a straightforward, fixed revenue share model on all Subscription and Tip income generated by Kenyan creators:

5. Payouts & Transfers in Kenya

5.1 — Schedule & Minimum Payout Limit

Creator earnings are processed monthly on the 5th of each month, covering all accumulated revenues from the preceding calendar month. A minimum payout threshold of $20 USD (or equivalent in KES) applies. Earnings below this amount automatically carry over to the following payout cycle.

5.2 — Direct M-Pesa Payouts

Kenyan creators receive their monthly net earnings straight to M-Pesa — no foreign bank account, no international wire transfers. For creators who prefer it, a direct local bank transfer or PayPal is also available. M-Pesa payouts are processed via Circl's mobile money payment partners, converting your net earnings to KES and depositing them directly to your registered M-Pesa line.

Applicable transfer fees are deducted directly from your net share (80%) when each monthly payout is made. Your estimated net payout amount is displayed in the app before each payout.

6. How to Get Started as a Creator

1. Download Circl and navigate to Profile Settings;
2. Meet the minimum follower requirement indicated in your settings;
3. Select "Become a creator" and submit your account for verification;
4. Once approved, configure your Subscription tier and activate fan tipping;
5. Add your M-Pesa number (or local bank details) under Creator Settings → Payouts.
